Concert Program - "In the
Spotlight"
Each season
as the men of MacDowell Male Chorus perform their annual home concerts, we recognize
a special group of people from our community. These have included blood donors,
military members, community volunteers, and our elderly in elder residence
facilities.
This year, the
people we will put “In the Spotlight” are those who dedicate their time
and talents to provide entertainment for others in the Fox Cities. Many of
us in the Chorus are well aware of the sacrifices demanded of those who choose
to be on stage. Several of our members have contributed as many as 40+ years of
service to the Chorus, and one is actually in his 58th year! As a
group, we have a tremendous amount of respect for our fellow Performing Arts
brothers and sisters.

We wish to
offer our thanks to those recognized by inviting them to attend one of our home
concerts as our guests. This invitation is extended to all those who are
involved with the Performing Arts in the Fox Cities. Members of any performing
groups, such as Attic Theater, The Fox Cities Symphony, Appleton Boy Choir, Christmas
Stars, etc. Members of the Fox Cities’ schools Performing Arts Departments who
work so hard to put on all those wonderful plays and musical performances
throughout the year. All those who provide support for the performers – the
teachers, directors, costumers, choreographers, et al.

member of a Performing Arts group similar to those noted above and you wish to
obtain two complementary tickets to one of our concerts, please contact Rick

Tickets are
limited. We have only 70 seats available at each concert. Tickets are first
come, first served.

MacDowell
Male Chorus has been a strong community arts performer in the Fox Valley
area for 74 years. Formed during the depths of the Great Depression, the chorus
performed its first concert in 1935.
Each year,
MacDowell grants scholarships to graduating high school senior men who aspire
to further their studies. These scholarships are awarded to soloists who
demonstrate proficiency in singing and musical presentation. Auditions, using
general music competition criteria, are the basis for scholarship awards. More
